graduated at Artistic High School Foppa in Brescia, Italy she then got a degree in Graphic Design at the prestigious Istituto Europeo di Design (I.E.D.) in Milan.

After some years spent in the advertising sector, the passion for cosmetics and perfumery drove her in the world of “beauty care” where she worked for over 20 years, keeping in direct contact with clients and operating in close relationship with skin care producers of which she followed several training courses. This very special background has given Manuela highly qualified knowledge of dermocosmetics. Her love of art and colours together with her passion for perfumes and cosmetics gave birth to the uniqueness of the shop “Manuela e dintorni” (literally Manuela and surrounding) which opened up on April 29th 2009 at 16 via Mirolte, Iseo , Italy. The shop is located in the north of Italy, in a very picturesque touristic town on the lake of Iseo, close to the Italian Alps of Lombardy.

The first sensation you feel when entering the shop is of a garden full of flowers with vivid or soft colours, a magic spring in Provence blossomed by enchantment in an antique palace of the 18th century, among golden mirrors and vintage furniture, restored to their former glory by the very unique and personal taste of Manuela.


Philosophy

In a global world so flat and standardized in taste and behaviours, where it’s given much more attention to appearance rather then being, Manuela wanted to create a space dedicated to the individual, to his own personal quest of sensorial faculty through the magic world of perfumes, which for their nature are able to go down to the deepest chords of our subconscious, making possible to dig out and come to the surface of feelings, sensations, and memories, which are usually forgotten in the hectic of today’s life.
